Save the date : The EIB Academy 2021 Virtual Forum : « Building a resilient MSME financial sector for inclusive growth in West and Central Africa »

As part of the EIB Financial Sector Technical Assistance Programme for West and Central Africa, EIB, in partnership with MFW4A, is organizing the EIB Academy; a two-day forum on the 5th and 6th of October, 2021.

The EIB Academy is a well-established and recognized international exchange forum and learning format that, in recent years, has been held physically in various African capitals. Given today’s circumstances, the 2021 version will be virtual and therefore accessible to a much wider audience.

Various debates and interactive presentations will stimulate participants to reflect on various essential contemporary themes such as; how can financial institutions (FIs) in the region encourage entrepreneurship, integrate climate challenges into their operations, promote gender financing, pursue opportunities in the digitalization of services and operations and much more! The programme proposes:

  • various panels and discussions on the first day;
  • various learning sessions (webinars) on the second day (limited admission).

The forum is primarily targeted at staff, seniors and middle managers of EIB’s partner FIs in West and Central Africa, as well as representatives of DFIs, the private and public sectors, regulators, NGOs and other financial sector stakeholders.

The main language will be French; simultaneous translation (French-English/English-French) will be provided. Registration will be open soon. Since admissions are limited the second day, registration will be on first come-first serve basis.
